Do me and your country a huge favor. Don’t vote for:

or

or

or

etc….

Know why? Because they are running for President of the United States of America and are about to waste a ton of money. They are going to (if they have’t already) waste money creating commercials putting the other candidates down. They are going to raise millions in campaign funds so they can plaster their faces all over the Internet and TV.

How about campaigning on free or cheap outlets like blogging and youtube.com?
They would certainly reach Generation X&Y that way, since all they do is spend time on the computer and phone. But I digress.

Vote me for President. Here’s an idea….

Remember taking history in school? Remember learning about factories? Remember when things were made in America and people WORKED in America?(Remember when Betsy Ross made the American flag - not some worker in China)  It’s time to repeat history. This is why study history. Open factories here and put Americans to work. Make local, shop local. “Oh but local is so expensive, it can’t beat Walmart.” Give Americans tax incentives to spend their money locally for the first few years, that way, we can on our feet.

Do you have any idea how many different people a factory can employ? Let’s see -

engineers
skilled workers
construction
artists
cooks
custodians

Anyone with little to no education all the way to someone with a college degree can all work in the same building. Doesn’t that blow your mind??
Hey you- ya you- sitting on your butt all day, (dishonestly)using government assistance, not working - get a job at the factory. My tax dollars could go to something more important like a library or paving roads.

That’s all for now…..

A poll published in the September 19th, 2011 issue of Newsweek magazine states that Americans would trust BILL GATES, WARREN BUFFET, and OPRAH among others to serve as our

President. I have to say, some of those choices make sense to me.

But what I found sad, and totally true, is the other poll listed on that page regarding the people or institutions most capable of solving our (economic/political) problems, had representatives and senators at the very bottom. I can’t blame Americans for feeling that way. I heard on the radio that one of my local reps spends thousands of dollars on his plane rides to and from the capital, which is ridiculous. You know what would be cool? If all the reps took the bus to their sessions. I’d be totally thrilled if reps showed up in handmade clothes by local shops and rode their bikes to session. Instead of Pelosi having a facelift, or whatever work she had, she should have bought some really cool jewelry by some local artist and rocked it with some clothing from Savers on national tv. That would be awesome.

Our country constantly has debates about sticking to the Constitution and remembering how our Founding Fathers ran this country. But I don’t think we really do that. Why don’t we take a look at Jefferson’s Rules of Conduct:

If we ran a country applying some of these rules, we might be in better shape.
